LYUBA Tours is a small, privately owned company, specialising in archaeology, ethnography, folklore and cultural heritage tours in Bulgaria. We offer the highest level of personalised service to our clients.
The company is a family owned one, set up in 1991 by Lyuba and Yuri Boyanin. Both Lyuba and Yuri have a wide knowledge of archaeology, ethnography and history - as well as being qualified engineers!
From 1994 to 1996 we worked with a British travel consultant with more than 40 years experience as the European representative of American Caravan, and under the name of Lyub Travel Ltd. (license # 3971/ 2000) we became very well-known for our weekend trips and specialised tours. Articles about Bulgaria and Lyuba tours were published in the New York Times (Sept. 23rd 2001), Conde Nast Traveler (Aug. 2002), Rough Guide for Bulgaria (1997, 2001), Doctor's Review, Canada (Toronto, April 2002), Frankfurter Allgemeine - PIAZZA Herbst 2003, among others.
It was guides from LYUB Travel who were selected by the US Embassy in Sofia to escort President Clinton when he visited Bulgaria in 1999.
